We have been overwhelmed by so many news this year that our news from Koppermann have taken a back seat.
But now, at the end of the year, we have a news summary for you! Because in spite of Corona, there have been some other things happening with us.
Mrs Margret Metz, the long-time manager of our subsidiary in Italy, finally went into her well-deserved retirement in June. For the last two years she was still active as an advisor for Koppermann Italia and her knowledge and experience were very valuable for her successor Dott. Riccardo dell' Acqua. We thank Margret from the bottom of our hearts for her commitment to Koppermann Italia, which would not be the success it is today without her. We wish her all the best for her future!
But there has also been a lot going on here in Baierbrunn. In October, we welcomed two new colleagues!
Ms Alisa Memmel is the successor of Mrs Padanyi in the sales department for institutional textiles. She worked for a company with a similar product range in Denmark for the last two years before the call to return home became too much and she started looking for a new position in the south of Germany. We are happy to have won Ms Memmel for us and wish her all the best and much success at Koppermann.
Our accounting department has also received reinforcement. With Mr Benedikt Schmid we were able to win a highly qualified and experienced successor for Ms Halmel. Especially this year, the conversions and changes in the financial system led to a lot of extra work. So we appreciate all the more that Mr Schmid was able to provide significant relief after just a short time. We are looking forward to our further cooperation and wish Mr Schmid much success and a good time with us.
And in October there was something else to celebrate. Tom Gellert celebrated his 20th anniversary at Koppermann in October. In his laudatory speech, Mr Peter Koppermann explicitly mentioned Mr Gellert's remarkable career: from apprentice in our company to head of the departments After-Sales-Service and Production Control to the latest member of the management at Koppermann. A truly successful example of our own youth development program!
But we have also adapted our purchasing strategy to the challenging circumstances caused by the Corona pandemic. It was clear to us from the beginning that we would do everything possible to keep our contracts with our suppliers even under the most difficult conditions. The goods that subsequently arrived and had to be stocked ensured that we were able to meet our customers' needs in both the fabric and institutional sector in a mostly in time during the worldwide lockdown. Once again, we lived up to our claim that our business partners can rely on us!
Another topic that is very close to our hearts was the expansion of our range with articles from sustainable production. Take a look at our product range of certified fabrics and our new GOTS line in the institutional sector! - Ask us about it!
Oh yes, and then there was something else: we were able to prove at the annual occupational health and safety assessment that we have successfully implemented all Covid-19 protective measures in our company and therefore receive the CORONA seal of approval 🙂
At the end of this crazy year we wish you all a merry and relaxing Christmas and a better, successful and above all healthy New Year!
Your Koppermann Team
